PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Sears Holdings is focused on hiring the best and brightest talent, and rapidly developing this talent into our future business and technology leaders through accelerated career paths and challenging, yet rewarding opportunities. As part of this effort, Sears Holdings has created a Technology Leadership Program (TLP). This program is designed to recruit highly talented, innovative and motivated Masters Degree candidates from top universities and technical programs. Members of this program will bring strategic leadership, acute awareness of emerging technology and incredible energy and enthusiasm to lead the strategic efforts of the company. Program members will manage high-priority and high-potential initiatives from inception to execution across our Information Technology Businesses. Additionally, the program provides a cohort experience of professional development through various activities, Executive sponsorship by the CIO and Senior Vice President, unique mentorship opportunities and leadership discussions.

PROGRAM  >>

This program provides unique career opportunities and exposure to the operational and strategic challenges facing the retail industry, Sears Holdings and the Information Technology Business. Members are hired as "cohorts" and are champions of innovation initiatives, entrepreneurial thinkers and catalysts of change. The goal of the program is to infuse Sears Holdings and the Information Technology Businesses with innovative talent and to develop those talented individuals into future technology and business leaders.

  • Two Business Unit rotations - - Information Technology Business Unit - project based role in Business Intelligence, IT Strategy, Supply Chain or Point of Sale systems designed to improve a current process, system or introduce and implement a transformational technology for the various business units and its client.
    - Online Business Unit - project based role in Online Strategy, Mobile Infrastructure & Operations designed to improve a current process, system or introduce and implement a transformational technology specifically targeting an internal business unit client.
  • Permanent placement in an operating or support business unit - program members obtain a leadership position and apply transformational, new-age, efficient and cost-effective information technology/online/social commerce thinking into everything that we do.
