Sears Holdings has proven, and continues to prove, that we support our military servicemen, veterans, and spouses, every day. In 2005, Sears Holdings received the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award and in 2006 Sears Holdings was honored with the Military Officers Association of America's Distinguished Service Award.

Department of Defense Freedom Award

In Oct. 2005, Sears Holdings received the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award.
The award was created to publicly recognize American employers who provide exceptional support to their employees who voluntarily serve the nation in the National Guard and Reserve.
The Freedom Award is the highest in a series of Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) awards.

MOAA Distinguished Service Award

In March 2006, Sears Holdings was honored with the Military Officers Association of America's Distinguished Service Award.
Award recognized Sears Holdings's support of associates in the Guard and Reserve and military families nationwide.

GI.Jobs: Top 10 Military Employer

In December 2006, Sears Holdings was named the #10 most military friendly employer by G.I. Jobs Magazine.
The award recognized Sears Holdings’s continued efforts to employ and support veterans, members of the Military, Reserves, and National Guard, as well as military spouses.

Military Spouse: Top 10 Military Spouse Employer Top 10 Military Spouse Friendly Employer

In July 2007, Sears Holdings was named the #7 most military spouse friendly employers by Military Spouse Magazine.
The award recognized Sears Holdings dedication to having pro-military spouse policies and processes, and for their ongoing partnerships and support for military spouse organizations.
