Who We Are
As an Inventory Management professional, your primary role is to ensure that merchandise is allocated to the right place, in the right quantities, at the right price and at the right time. You will partner closely with our Merchandising teams to drive positive results for our customers and our shareholders. You will be responsible for billions of dollars worth of goods and key financial metrics like, merchandise in stocks, turnover, and gross margin return on investments (GMROI).

- Work directly with the Merchandising team to bring product from initial concept to the stores — all with speed, precision and a passion for satisfying the customer.
- Interface with 34 nationwide distribution centers to ensure adequate and timely product flow to our stores.
- Partner with Finance to build financial plans and analyze strategic decisions based on gross margin impact to the business.
- Fulfill store requests and communicate with the field to satisfy customer needs.
- Partner with domestic and international sourcing teams to develop an optimal balance of quality product, efficient flow path and profitable results.
- Collaborate with Marketing on the promotional planning for advertised items to deliver.
- Analyze information such as product inventory reports, sales trends, and vendor production schedules to ensure we provides optimum inventory productivity.
- Work with various systems and programs that have applicability in numerous work settings and environments.
- Manage between $50 million and $1 billion in inventories for all Sears and Kmart stores in the United States.
- Handle elite brand names (Kenmore, Craftsman, Lands’ End, Joe Boxer, etc.) that America loves and trusts.
- Make critical decisions that ultimately impact the satisfaction of billions of loyal customers across the nation.
- Collaborate with various individuals across the company — from vendors who make the product to our own award-winning advertising department.
