Sears Predicts This Weekend One of the Biggest of the Year

Procrastinators: Don't Delay Any Longer Hurry in While Many of the Best Product Selections are Still Available

With only seven shopping days remaining before Christmas, Sears, Roebuck and Co. (NYSE: S) expects this weekend to rank as one of its top weekends of the entire year.

While most of the hottest product categories are still available, last- minute holiday shoppers around the country will be happy to hear that sometimes it pays to procrastinate. But they had better hurry as popular products and accompanying promotional offers mean hot products sell quickly. Friday, Dec. 19 through Sunday, Dec. 21 Sears will reward the procrastinators among us by giving shoppers 10 percent off most items storewide from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

All on Sale

In addition, Sears will offer discounts on all products in selected product categories including consumer electronics, small kitchen appliances and fine jewelry.

These deals, combined with Sears' wide selection of the season's hottest gift items, make Sears an ideal destination for last-minute shoppers. Many of the season's most popular products are still available -- while supplies last -- including:

   -- Elliptical trainers
   -- Sears gift cards
-- Projection televisions and plasma televisions
   -- Laser-equipped power tools
   -- DVD players
   -- Digital cameras
   -- Game tables
   -- Women's outerwear

Separately, Sears announced on December 16 that it is eliminating expiration dates from all gift cards it issues. Sears gift cards can be purchased in increments of $5-$500 and can be redeemed at all Sears store locations.
