Sears Helps Hot Consumers 'Chill Out'

Sears, Roebuck and Co. (NYSE: S), the nation's leading appliance retailer, is helping consumers beat the heat this summer with special offers on a wide selection of air conditioners, refrigerators and dehumidifiers (see attached fact sheet).

Inefficient central air conditioners and HVAC systems present the largest opportunity for energy savings of any system in the home. Now is the perfect time to replace an old window air conditioner, central air unit or refrigerator with an Energy Star qualified model from Sears, which carries more Energy Star qualified heating and cooling systems from Kenmore® and Carrier® than any other retailer.

For example, maintaining proper humidity levels, either by adjusting the humidifier on the unit or adding one to an older unit, can keep you and your family comfortable at higher temperature settings.
