Five Schools Nationwide to Receive an Extra $10,000 Each From Vaseline® Intensive Care® Lotion & Kmart School Spirit Program
Vaseline® Intensive Care® Lotion Brand Becomes First Official School Spirit Sponsor
Vaseline® Intensive Care® Lotion is partnering with Kmart to award K-12 schools nationwide with an additional $50,000 in cash, as part of Kmart's ongoing School Spirit initiative. Unlike many other fundraising programs, Kmart's School Spirit program provides greater flexibility to raise more dollars for schools because customers can pay for their purchases by cash, check or credit card. Customers need only to enroll in the program at their local store or online at http://www.bluelight.com/ , specify the school to receive donations, and use a special School Spirit card when shopping at Kmart. With each purchase at any Kmart store, the company will donate a portion of all eligible purchases to the customer's school of choice.*
As the retailer's first official School Spirit sponsor, Unilever Home and Personal Care - USA through its Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion brand will match Kmart's contributions to schools during the month of November whenever a customer uses a School Spirit card with purchases of any Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion product. Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion will also award five schools from across the nation an additional bonus of $10,000 cash. The $50,000 donated to the five schools by Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion is in addition to a minimum of $10 million the Kmart School Spirit program will contribute to participating K-12 schools nationwide during the 2001-2002 school year.

Schools are automatically entered to win the extra funding when a customer uses a Kmart School Spirit card when purchasing any Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion product, Nov. 1-30.
Schools winning the $10,000 bonus will be selected in a random drawing on or around Dec. 14 and notified by mail on or around Dec. 21. Checks will be awarded to schools by January 31, 2002. For contest rules, visit http://www.bluelight.com/ .

*1/4 of 1% of eligible purchases will be donated to designated schools every time a card is used.
