Caguas Kmart Store to Become Kmart Supercenter

Five month conversion to be completed by mid-October

The Caguas Kmart located at Las Catalinas Mall, Calle Bentances Final, Carr 156 KM 60.0, will spend the next five months saying, "Pardon our dust." But when that dust clears, shoppers will see a big transformation as their traditional Kmart store becomes a Kmart Supercenter, complete with a full-line of grocery merchandise.

Kmart Supercenters combine the selection and value of traditional Kmart stores with a full-service grocery store. In response to customer feedback in Puerto Rico, this Kmart Supercenter will carry specialty foods including fresh seafood as well as other seasonal favorites.

"Our customers in Puerto Rico will be able to accomplish so much in one place, while spending less, when they shop the new Kmart Supercenter," said Steve Falcon, Kmart regional vice president. "We appreciate their patience while we bring exciting changes to this store."

In addition to the 40,000 grocery items carried in the Kmart Supercenters, the store will continue to carry all of the quality general merchandise customers have come to expect from Kmart. Each store will be redesigned to make practical use of the space available.
