Sears Holdings Names Mark Panzer to Lead Pharmacy Business Unit

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Feb. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sears Holdings (NASDAQ: SHLD) announced today that Mark Panzer will join the company as senior vice president and president, Pharmacy. Mr. Panzer most recently served as president and CEO of Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy, Inc. In his new role with Sears Holdings, Mr. Panzer will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of the company's Pharmacy business under the Kmart format, both in-store and online.

Prior to Pharmaca, Mr. Panzer held the position of senior executive vice president and chief marketing officer with Rite Aid Corporation from 2005 to 2008. He was named to the role after serving as the senior executive vice president of store operations from 2001 to 2005 with responsibility for both pharmacy and front-end operating results. Mr. Panzer's career includes 17 years with Albertson's, American Stores and Jewel Companies, serving in senior-level management positions in operations, marketing merchandising and real estate.

Mr. Panzer received a Master's of Business Administration in Finance from Loyola University– Chicago and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Northeastern Illinois University.
