Sears and Kmart Help Residents Recover After Hurricane Isaac

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Aug. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Gulf coast residents, including Sears and Kmart associates, will begin the process of cleaning up their homes and communities in the wake of Hurricane Isaac. To help local residents get back on their feet, Sears and Kmart are offering discount coupons on flashlights, batteries and clean-up essentials like rakes, drills, wet/dry vacuums and chainsaws as stores reopen. Local residents can get Sears and Kmart discount coupons at the American Red Cross Center in their area. Sears has also rushed an inventory of portable generators to stores in the impacted areas to aid those without power.

For those hit hardest by the storm, Sears and Kmart will work with Rebuilding Together, a nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership, in the coming months to provide assistance to communities in their rebuilding efforts.
