The Craftsman Brand's "House United" Program Kicks Off at the Republican National Convention with DIY Expert Ty Pennington
One Half of a Home will be Built During the RNC and the Second Half will be Built During DNC; State Delegates to Swing Hammers at Event with Final Home Donated to Deserving Veteran

WHAT: | Despite the rainy weather due to Tropical Storm Isaac, the build event will still go on. Ty Pennington, Craftsman, Sears Heroes at Home, Rebuilding Together, NextGen Home built by Champion and Bank of America have teamed up on a community service project at the Republican and Democratic National Conventions. Together, they will build one half of a home in Tampa during the RNC and will construct the other half of the home in Charlotte during the DNC. The final home will be donated to a deserving military veteran in Charlotte. Delegates, elected officials and their staff and convention attendees in both locations are invited to literally swing a hammer, nail 2 x 4s and paint walls alongside Pennington during the events. |
