Sears To Host A Miami "Shop Your Way" Fashion Show As Part Of "Super Back-to-School Saturday"

Shop to Stop Bullying

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sears is proud to showcase its "Super Back-to-School Saturday" nationwide event on August 11 with a "Shop Your Way" Fashion Show at the Sears Miami International Mall location.  Those who sign up with the Shop Your Way Sears rewards program on-site will have exclusive access to free merchandise and promotions while attending the event. Attendees can also receive a special one-day-only Savings Pass valid for 15 percent off apparel, footwear and fine jewelry in-store or online. Sears will donate 5 percent of proceeds (up to $70,000, August 11 only) from purchases using the Savings pass to charities affiliated with the Sears' new Team Up to Stop Bullying program, an initiative designed to bring anti-bullying solutions quickly and effectively to students, families, educators and communities.

"The 'Shop Your Way' Fashion Show is a fun and engaging way to showcase our top fashion trends for the back-to-school season," said Lana Krauter, senior vice president and president, Sears Apparel. "Just as important, it offers a platform to get those attending involved and invested in stopping the epidemic of bullying in our schools and communities.  Our main goal is to immediately connect parents, kids and schools with anti-bullying solutions. We can make a major difference by working together, beginning at the local level, as we are doing in Miami."

The "Shop Your Way" fashion shows will take center stage at 12:00 noon, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm in the Center Court of Miami International Mall, showcasing key teen and children's styles in apparel, footwear and accessories.  Also from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm, several promotions for Shop Your Way members will be offered, including "swag" bags, free samples, raffles for Sears anti-bullying t-shirts, and a number of beauty activities such as mini-makeovers, hair styling and massages.  Sears gift cards will be raffled off every half hour from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Shoppers can pledge to help stop bullying by signing up at designated tables.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to become a Shop Your Way Rewards member.
