Sears Holdings Welcomes Ontario Securities Commission Hearing

    HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., May 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sears Holdings
Corporation (Nasdaq: SHLD) today responded to the Ontario Securities
Commission ("OSC") notice that it will hold a hearing on July 5, 2006, to
address various matters relating to the Sears Holdings offer for the shares
of Sears Canada Inc.

accusations made by a group of US speculators and arbitrageurs who have
attempted to obstruct the will of the majority of the minority shareholders
