Kmart Names Lawrence Hruska Vice President, Pharmacy

Kmart Corporation (NYSE: KM) today announced the promotion of Lawrence Hruska, 50, to Vice President, Pharmacy, effective immediately. Reporting directly to Tony Montini, Senior Vice President, General Merchandise Manager, Drug Store Business, Hruska will be responsible for overseeing the operations, marketing and managed care functions of 1,593 Kmart pharmacies.

With more than 20 years of pharmacy experience, Hruska joined Kmart in July as Director of Pharmacy Marketing. He came to Kmart from, Inc., where he held the post of Senior Vice President, Operations, overseeing operations, procurement, merchandising, facilities management and security operations. Hruska also developed a pharmacy Web site and state-of-the-art pharmacy fulfillment operation for the company. Prior to his work at, Inc., Hruska held posts at K&B, Inc., Phar-Mor, Inc., Reliable Drug Stores, Inc. and Rite Aid Corporation.

"Larry brings an extraordinary amount of diverse pharmacy experience to Kmart that will further support our desire to apply best practices to our pharmacy operations," said Montini.
