Capturing those once-in-a-lifetime moments can be a challenge. Who hasn't faced the frustration of taking digital pictures only to delete and reshoot when they aren't framed correctly, someone's eyes are closed or it's an unflattering pose? Today, Sears is helping ease that frustration by announcing a special, online pre-sale program for customers who want to be among the first to get their hands on the much anticipated Samsung DualView Cameras - the TL225 and TL220 with front and back LCD screens. Now, picture takers will be able to see themselves in the shot to ensure that they turn every scene into a frame-worthy photo opportunity.
"Taking pictures creates memories that last, and we want to ensure that our customers have access to the latest home electronics products to make those moments memorable," stated Karen Austin, president, Sears Holdings Home Electronics. "Sears' online pre-sale of the Samsung DualView cameras further extends our commitment to provide our savvy shoppers with opportunities to be among the first to obtain the hottest, new technology."
To make it even easier for picture takers to get out from behind the camera and into the shot, Sears' Blue Electronics Crew has geared up - and taken aim - at offering customers easy, streamlined access to purchase the Samsung DualView cameras. Extending the online pre-sale as well as Text-2-Buy, Sears Blue Electronics Crew continues to expand its multichannel capabilities and meet customers' desire for the best value and top brands.
Text-2-Buy will allow Sears' customers with a Web-enabled phone to text SAMSUNG to 73277 (that's "Sears" on the keypad) from anywhere their cell phones work to purchase the camera, including inside physical stores. Customers will receive a text message back with a link driving them to the product page where they can check out on Sears2go. Standard text messaging rates apply.
"We have seen the shift to mobile purchasing, and recognize that our customers are always on the go and looking for easy, convenient ways to shop," said Austin. "Providing seamless integration both in-store and online allows us to improve shop-a-bility for all of our valued customers."
Seeing the shot before taking the picture ensures that anyone can capture the photos they would be proud to post online or on the refrigerator. Now, social media networkers can place themselves into the picture every time so that capturing their perfect, profile picture has never been easier. Also, the Samsung DualView cameras are ideal for families. No longer will mom and dad have to fuss to have their little ones look at the camera for a photo. The new cameras can play captivating content on the front LCD screen to capture the attention of even the most distracted youngster.
Whether taking pictures of family get-togethers or nights out with friends, photographers using Samsung's DualView cameras will be equipped to take better pictures automatically with their built-in functionality. Customers can capture their images and cameras by going on to the Sears Web site and clicking on the Samsung DualView splash page. Shoppers looking for the Samsung DualView Cameras can then select the "Pre-Order Item" button to add the camera to their cart and proceed to checkout. The TL220 is available for $299.99 and includes a 3.0-inch Touchscreen LCD. The TL225, featuring a 3.5-inch Touchscreen LCD with four times the resolution of the average camera, retails at $349.99.
Nationwide retail availability for the highly anticipated Samsung DualView cameras does not begin until September 13, 2009, and the online pre-sale begins August 13, 2009. Samsung's DualView cameras are available in an assortment of colors, including purple and orange for the TL225 and red and blue for the TL220.
Sears not only offers unique shopping opportunities such as online pre-sale programs to help ensure that customers have access to the newest home electronics first, but also passes savings to shopping by providing tiered shipping and financing options such as layaway and no payment/no interest financing until February 2010 with Sears credit available.
